It was a sunny Saturday morning. Pam and her brother, Dan, woke up early. They will help their parents do the house chores after breakfast.
"Dad, I will help you clean the garden today," said Dan.
"And I will help you clean the house, Mom," Pam added.
"Thank you, Dan and Pam," replied Dad. "Now, let us start working."
So Dan went to the garden with his Dad. They pulled out the weeds in the cabbage patch, swept the dried leaves off the ground, and watered all the plants. Dad also mowed the lawn.
When they went back inside the house, Mom and Pam had already finished cleaning the house. They had already set the table for their snacks. "Wow! There are ice cream, sandwiches with jam, and juice!" Dan exclaimed. "We want to thank you, Pam and Dan, for being helpful and caring to me and your Dad. These are your rewards," Mom said with a smile. And they all sat around the table. What a happy family.
